Space sector getting stronger. End of May Space Sector Forum 2018

The Space Sector Forum 2018, the most important business event for companies, institutions and representatives of the scientific world involved in the development of this dynamic branch of Polish business, will take place at the end of May.

One of the most important pointsoin the program of the Space Sector Forum 2018 will be a presentation of the success of theoin achieved thanks to the Polish Space Strategy, as well as opportunities for cooperation between Polish companies under the newohe cooperation of Polish companies within the framework of the new programow and missions carried out by the ESA, the European Union and the leader of theoin the global space sector. The Forum will feature speeches by roalso special guests, representing the ESA, the European Commission and the European Southern Observatory.

On May 24, the conference will be opened by representatives of ministries and institutions directly involved in the development of theoj this sector – Representative of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, Jadwiga Emilewicz, Minister of Entrepreneurship and Technology, and Dariusz Śliwowski, Vice President of the Industrial Development Agency S.A. In addition to the presentation of implementations within the framework of the Polish Space Strategy, it is planned to roalso a presentation dedicated to the National Space Program, which is being created, with the participation of the new President of the Polish Space Agency, Dr. Grzegorz Brona.

The second part of the conference will open with presentations by special foreign guests on m.in. ESA's planned missions and ESO programs, whichore can become an opportunity for Polish companies and opportunities for technology transfer, which has a particularolne importance in view of the first business gas pedal of the European Space Agency (ESA BIC) being established in our country.

The conference will conclude with an extremely interesting thematic block devoted to the topic of innovation and examples of wspoooperation in the space sector. This will be an opportunity to listen to and discuss with representatives of the largest companies in the space sector in Europe, and to learn about the opportunities to supportocooperation in ESA, European Union and commercial projects.

The conference will also be accompanied by the largest exhibition of Polish entitiesoin the space sector and supporting institutions, during which theoThe space sector in Poland will be the subject of direct talksoin on their projectow. The exhibition will feature representatives of companies implementing innovative projects m.in. from the fields of mechanics, electronics, optoelectronics, programming, data analysis, use of location and satellite imaging, as well as entities engaged in animating the startup environment.

The Conference is under the patronage of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, the Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Technology, the National Contact Point Projectoin the European Union Research Council and the Polish Space Agency. The Space Sector Forum 2018 will be held under the patronage of the European Commission as part of the Industry Day 2018 series of events.

The organizers of the Conference are the Union of Employers ofoin the Space Sector – organization bringing together companies and entities of the Polish space sector and the Industrial Development Agency S.A. – an institution that actively supports the developmentoj entityow investing in the Polish space sector.
